Who We are

Steve Lick Timberworks is a family owned and run business which has been serving the Southern Highlands for over 25 years.

Renovations, custom carpentry, studios, decks, bespoke gates and fences  are included in our portfolio. Recycled materials and hand crafted items are implemented  in the design process whilst creative solutions to problems and bringing a project to successful completion are integral to our operations.

We are fascinated by the possibilities inherent in materials, particularly natural materials. Whether building with timber, earth and stone or those ubiquitous Australian materials, corrugated iron and concrete,  their unique qualities come into play. Recycled materials are often incorporated where appropriate, but we strive in all things for the design to work well and give pleasure to the beholder.

Decks, pergolas, stairs and ramps are important transitions areas between indoors and out. They extend your living spaces and help you to move smoothly from one place to the next. They can be the difference between the smooth working of a home and unusable areas. Gates and fences are important for defining boundaries and giving a sense of enclosure. They also have the capacity to enhance the period style of your house.
